Project Dogwaffle 1.2 is a subset of version 2.0, which was released in January 2004. The latest top (commercial) version is version 2.1 as of this initial writing for the 1.2 free announcement July 2004. It sells for next to nothing. However, this version 1.2 is a subset (lite edition) of version 2, and we mean a free version with no strings attached, with no time limits, not save disabled, not shareware you should buy or upgrade from, really, just plain free super-dooper beautiful paint software.

Dogwaffle version 1.2 is a new product based on the powerful architecture of Dogwaffle 2.0. We've created a light, yet powerful tool for artistic expression. We felt that the aging free version (1.11b) was in need of an update, since it was written for earlier operating systems and we wanted our new users to have the speed and power of our newer software architecture.
