Chasm

|
''Chasm'' depicts two CG cities on either side of a rift:
one represents the brickand mortar business world,
while the other e-commerce, with Norfolk Southern trains
effortlessly spanning the gap between. The
detail and design of the worlds created a compelling hyper-realisticvisual
density unusual in commercial CGI, with some shots topping
2.5million polygons. To aid in integrating live
talent, the spot waschoreographed prior to shooting
and played back on set with overlayedblue-screened
actors and extras.

One summer's day, she was visiting her old hometown. The
place in which she had spent so much time as a child. The
town was quiet. It was almost as if nothing had changed. Overcome
by nostalgia, she began to recall fragments of her past. The
main character's facial expressions were animated and achieved
withthe aid of optical motion capture technology.
The background sceneryreflects a street lined
with shops and houses in a quiet country town, and
was created entirely using computer graphics.

Little Miss Spider

|
''Little Miss Spider'' is a computer-animated short based on the
best-selling book by artist and storyteller David Kirk.
For Little Miss Spider’s debut as an animated character,
digital artists at Kleiser-Walczak pushed the limits of
3D tools as they transformed Kirk’s vibrant 2D oil
paintings into a stylized 3D world. The result is a never-before-seen
look in the field of computer graphics.Maya
was used for character and scene modeling; animation and
rendering. Composer and After Effects were used for compositing.
This project was produced for Callaway & Kirk.

Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project
|
|
|
|
|

|
A detailed 3D model was created to show the 500-million
dollar construction project of a 10-mile section of I-95
at the Virginia / Maryland Border, it includes four multi-level
interchanges and a major bridge (Woodrow Wilson Bridge) across
the Potomac River. Using AutoCAD Land evelopment and 3D Studio
Max 3.1, a multi gigabyte 3D database was created to engineering
accuracy. The animation is 19,000 frames long and had to
managed so that every time a change was made the project
can be re-rendered, composited and posted in a 48 hour turn
around, using five-dual 933 PC’s.
