The Artistry of an Empire

Roger Pearce, an artist for 35 years, involved originally with oils and acrylics, has taken up the digital brush to produce even more fantastic works. Not only a creator of beauty, but a preserver, as well, Roger has a well earned reputation as The Painting Doctor specializing in the restoration and rejuvenation of old paintings and photographs. More about that here...

Regarding his work, "New Horizons Call From Distant Shores" (featured below), Roger comments:

"This image of my daughter Erika, expresses my feelings about life, both emotionally, and philosophically. It also represents the direction my work has taken, namely Digital Imaging, in 2D and 3D software. To me, the eternal questions of where did we come from and where are we going, are still the most compelling. I am a digger, a seeker of truth, and my artwork is an expression of this philosophy."

These images were all produced with various digital manipulations, in both 2D,and 3D software. I call them paintings because the process is the same, regardless of the medium. I use Poser5, Bryce5, Truspace5.2, Photoshop 7, and my favorite, ZBrush155b. My brush is a Wacom Tablet, never have to clean paint out of it.
