We Use PayPal for Your Protection.
When PayPal first emerged on the scene a few years ago, I was a little skeptical and gun shy about using them, but I did. In a nutshell, they've been great and worked very well for us for all of these years.
PayPal was first formed by a real FDIC insured bank and later, because they couldn't compete, were acquired by, or merged with, EBay. Whether you like banks or EBay or not, the fact is that this is a completely reliable and secure method of transferring funds over the web.
There are a lot of commercial web sites out there who would never, ever, misuse your sensitive financial information. Unfortunately, they probably can't say that their security is top notch, either - and it isn't. There are too many clever little people out there who know how to get into their closed files way better than the file owners do. These small companies simply can't afford the overhead that the security necessary to prevent abuse entails.
Enter PayPal.com With 10's of millions of members and hundreds of millions of transactions to their credit, They have a security team which, while it may sometimes seem a little overzealous, is keeping The Web a very safe place to do business. For that we can be grateful.
PayPal allows payments to be made instantly by credit or debit card as well as echeck. There is no safer or easier way to do business over The Web. If you're not a PayPal member, I urge you to become one, but it isn't necessary to be a member to use their service, it's just a little easier to complete transactions.
We could use other payment methods, but no other method serves our customers' interests quite as well as PayPal.
...and that's the way it is.
